Another visit to Koi sushi in port Charlotte. Bummer they didn’t have any mangoes 🥭, as I so wanted to order salmon 🍣 mango roll . Opted out for lunch special , 2 rolls for $10.95 and few sushi � la carte. The presentation was beautiful, sushi rice in my opinion could have more flavor. My fav were salmon and scallop sushi . A glass of cold plum wine was a great addition. Service was prompt and friendly. Sashimi bento box was fun and delicious, sashimi were fresh, gyoza was juicy and crunchy . I hated to see fortune garden and the family that owned it leave. I was born and raised on it, IYKYK! I live in same neighborhood 36yrs later and Koi had big shoes to fill. The sushi is better than the rest, this hole in the wall has it all. Friendly family owned, authentic! I’ve lived in Okinawa Japan, I know good sushi and they have it plus Sapporo! 🤙
I come here regularly and I am never disappointed. I love the Angry Dragon sushi roll and the sesame chicken. The food is cooked fresh and is absolutely yummy!!
