ZERO... why can't I give a zero star. They do not deserve even 1 star. Yes, The office is located in a convenient location. The staff is ok.. not that friendly but not reproachable. For the last 5 appointments we have been scheduled for a specific time ( 2PM) We always arrive around 1:45, place is always empty. They call u in at 2:15 /2:20 (already 20 minutes behind) Optometrist/ doctor arrives at around 2:45/2:50 ( now we are about 1 hour behind) The worst part is Dr comes in, Dr Michael Spencer, Md ...Not even a "hi" or a... read more
RecommendedI have nothing but GREAT things to say about this place. I took my 4 year old today to have an eye exam, she was a little nervous as to be expected, but from the moment you walk into Koala eye center, you have a peaceful feeling. All of the staff were kind to me and my daughter and Dr. Spencer is absolutely phenomenal! I would highly recommend Koala eye care to any parent with no hesitation. Five stars from me.
I have 2 daughters 1 has been going for 2 years the other just started. Our appointment was at 1 pm the assistant took us to a room did her thing dilated both of my girls eyes (one we literally had to hold down) for the assistant to come in 1 and 1/2 hours later to tell us the doctor is in surgery and it’s may be awhile because once he got back to the office there is still 1 patient in front of us. I have been a patient at Koala Eye Center for roughly 8 to 10 years. Normally I enjoy my visit with the front desk staff and Dr. Michael A. Spencer, but today I did not. I was checked in at 1:45 p.m. and I waited at-least 30 minutes to be taken to the back. One receptionist was handling the front desk while the other was taking patients back.Both of the young ladies were very respectful towards me, especially during the beginning portion of the eye exam. The WORST staff whose rude behavior towards patient/parents is led & condoned by a very cold and distant doctor (Spencer M******). There’s ONLY ONE ophthalmologist here and they schedule at least 5 people for one appointment time and you wait over an hour in the waiting room to be seen. No apologies or explanations for your wait ever given. The staff at the reception desk don’t address you eye to eye or verbally. Instead you get head nods to your questions while they’re looking at their cell phone. A shame and a disgrace. No... read more

I brought my granddaughter for an eye exam on May 25,2020 they said it would be a few weeks for her glasses. I called 2 weeks ago and they said another few weeks. I call today and they said the lab for glasses was closed indefinitely. So did they get the money from insurance and bounced without a call or anything.
The worst first time experience ever. the actual eye doctor was very pleasant and informative. However Paul was very rude and unpleasant. I will never use this place again very horrible horrible horrible horrible customer service 😡
Every staff member I encountered, including the doctor, was unfriendly and unknowledgeable. The doctor refused to bill my vision insurance, instead sending it to my medical insurance resulting in a larger benefit for him and more out-of-pocket for me. Found out after the fact that he had diagnosed me with a cataract which was news to me as he had never made a mention of it to me. Had to call three times about my bill because no one seems to know how to read an account statement. I will not go back.
