Terrible hospital. I went in as an emergency patient, after a post op infection. A week after my initial surgery at another private (outstanding) hospital. The Dr at Knox spoke with my surgeon but refused to follow her recommended treatment. I needed to self discharge to get to my surgeon for the treatment that I needed, and was immediately on the mend….but the Knox Dr wouldn’t do anything to help. The food!! I underwent a total knee replacement on August 4, 2026. My surgeon was Mr. Francis Ma, a brilliant, caring and skillful surgeon. He and his team did an outstanding job. Then unfortunately, I woke up in Knox Private Hospital. The food was inedible, when I pushed the call button for a nurse, it would regularly take over 20 minutes for someone to respond. Once past the triage which was difficult as I had a very sensitive acute appendix and had to deal with signing forms and payment whilst in a less than clear headed state, exhausted state, my memory of Emergency will always be of a young uncaring Asian nurse. Definitely would not recommend. Was in for a day procedure. Was treated with incredible indifference. No post op care. Asked for a cup of water, didn't come. My BP was sky high & the nurse who did my BP said she'd get someone. No one came. Awful experience.
