RecommendedMy mother, a long-time knitter who lives in Newport, loves this store. When I needed to knit something new based on a yarn she had used for a blanket for my granddaughter, Michelle was happy to help me long-distance based on a photo of the yarn I was looking for. I now have the yarn I need to complete the new project to match the original!
Knitting needles is one of my favorite stops in Newport RI. Michelle is very knowledgeable, will order in yarn for you, and her knitting projects are beautiful and doable! Knitting Needles is now carrying some of my yarn bowls. Stop in and see the wide selection of yarns and tools!
Lovely place and the owner is fantastic! I found all sorts of great stuff.
What a lovely little place! Found it on vacation. Spent my weight in yarn. Nice selection of DK and above yarns. I didn't see a lot of sock yarn per se but I certainly could have missed it. Bunch of lovely lace yarns too - llama and baby alpaca followed me home for sure!

I went in there for the first time today and loved it! The owner Michelle is incredibly nice and knowledgeable. The yarns are yummy. She has yarns I have never seen before and some are imported from foreign countries which is very cool. I'll definitely be shopping there more in the future.
