Only giving them 1 star because I have to. Like the other reviews, our property was undervalued by $20k. Comps were compared to houses in other counties, not the same sq footage or acreage. "Required" repairs (mostly cosmetic) were added as a condition on my loan costing us an extra $5,000 at closing. Our lender tried to fight it, but the appraiser wouldn't budge. Reachable Appraisal Company is the worst company ever. I am convinced I received a Biased home appraisal based on my race! My lender choose Reachable Appraisal Company for an appraisal for my Refi and if I would've known the name of the company before hand I would've did my research before having them come out. First red flag when the guy came he never looked me in my face or made eye contact. Second red flag he asked was we the owners of the home. I would give this company 0 stars if it was an option. They sent out Thai to do my appraisal and he showed up and we had the hardest time understanding what he was saying. He said the appraisal would take approximately one hour. He was done in 30 minutes which should have caught my attention as my home is fairly large. 2 days later he completed the appraisal and sent it Rocket Mortgage. Worst company for Appraisals! I have had 2 appraisals (different houses and different times) and both were from the most incompetent "appraisers" ever! Thai ****** did my most recent one. His desktop appraisal (yes, he wouldn't even come to the house because he lived so far away!) was off by $100k! This was for a luxury property and clearly he does not qualify for this price range.
