An absolutely phenomenal store and my favorite place in the city to get high-quality authentic Japanese kitchen knives and cutlery at very reasonable prices. The staff are exceptional - friendly, knowledgeable, kind, and highly skilled at sharpening as well. Well worth visiting whenever you are in the area.
Great business, very honest, reasonable prices for sharpening, quick service. Went to sharpen my knives for the first time, had been using a pull-through sharpener prior to this. Brought 4 knives, all were evaluated and they claimed only one needed sharpening (it definitely did). They sharpened it on the spot, took less than 5 minutes. They noted that the knife that needed sharpening came in with some minor chips, and advised me on how to take care of my knives in the future. Did such a great job sharpening my difficult pocketknife that I promptly stabbed myself In the hand after returning home and barely felt a thing. Would do again (the sharpening, not the stabbing).
