Delicious! The wonderful smells coming from this well established baker is the first thing you notice even before you open the door to enter. Located downtown culpeper, people come from all around to enjoy the pastries and cakes that are famous for the quality. The service is something you can count on.
Missing Danish, Stale Cookies ** I have always enjoyed stopping by Knakal's during my travel south on Rte 29 from Manassas. Yesterday's visit was a disappointment, however. I asked for 3 cookies and found 2 in the bag when I arrived home, which is not a problem now that I just discovered they are stale. I brought home the eclcair I requested, but the danish (or bismarck) is missing. I think the counter lady placed the bag on top of each counter she retrieved from, then didn't move the danish and bag to the area she collected... read more
RecommendedFresh, delicious homemade doughnuts. They make what they make so as it gets later in the morning some flavors/types will run out. I always try and get there between 7-8 to make sure I get what I want. They are worth it - just delicious.

The have great products! They also made my wedding cake 7 years ago and it was a hit.
This cake was so delicious and perfectly decorated for my great uncle’s 85 birthday. Knakal’s always has and always will be my favorite!

I bought six dozen donuts the other day. The woman with her hair up was so rude. I work in the community, and I always want to help support local businesses, but when I am treated like that, it’s not worth it. I felt like I was being punished for asking for my order. When I called her out for “acting so angry,” she denied it and was decent after that. This has happened more than once, so I’m hoping they will see this and consider changing the tone of the bakery.
