Well maintained property and experienced management. Haven't had any major issues and I am happy with where I live now and happy with the price.
I rented with KLS for a year. If you can, go elsewhere. Kathy is an extremely rude and racist person. There was a drastic difference in the way she treated and spoke to my white roommates compared to myself and my other roommates of color. During our final walkthrough she called us “filthy people” right in our own home. She was very inconsistent and difficult to communicate with. Stay away from this rental company. Buildings are not maintained or cleaned, onerous tenant policies, rents are way too high for what you're getting.
I was a tenant with KLS/Shaw Properties for two years and had a very mixed experience. The tenant portal makes it very nice to pay rent and stores other information related to your lease. I lived in a 2-bedroom apartment and the price was incredibly affordable, and the bedrooms were very spacious. For the most part, Tiffany was very responsive as the property manager and maintenance requests were reasonably addressed.
