The word klong is not an onomatopoeia; it actually means canal in Thai and though there are no canals in the East Village, the restaurant focuses on the food fusion served back home upon the waterways. As you enter, the decor takes its inspiration from Thailand, but since this is Manhattan, the style is more trendy and modern than traditional. Curry, fried rice, noodles and salads are all prepared fresh and the cost for the same are equally well-priced.

Love this place! So nice.
very good place and food. I recommend to try thai fried rice.
Great food, wine, and reasonable price! N
Absolutely my favorite restaurant! I’ve brought so many of my friends there and everyone is loving the food. It really doesn’t need advertising - its’s that good. If you love Thai food, Klong is the place to go!
Slow service. There was a mouse. Food was decent. Good happy hour.
There’s so many Thai spots in the city, and this is the closest one to where I was running around at the time. Really glad I stopped in!
Amazing tasting food. Great prices. Wonderful staff!
