I can't say enough about Dr Klirsfeld!! I made an appointment to see him because of foot pain. During the foot exam Dr Klirsfeld adjusted the exam chair to look at my feet. Dr. Klirsfeld diagnosed my foot problem, but also mentioned that I should make an appointment with a cardiologist as he did not like my color when I was reclined in the chair. To make a long story short I went to my cardiologist and needed stents. Dr Klirsfeld saved my life!! He also fixed my heel pain. I would highly recommend Dr Klirsfeld. His staff is ... read more
Dr. Klirsfeld deformed my small pinkie toe by taking out a piece of the 5th metarsal bone (during a large bunion operation on my large toe) without explaining what the possible outcome would be. Never had a problem with that toe and I just asked him to remove some ruff skin on the side of that toe before the operation. He said he removed the bone to thin down my foot and it was a executive decision during surgery. BEWARE.........
Excellent clinician with an equally strong bedside manner. I had been to several of the "top" podiatrists/orthopedics at very well known institutions, but Dr Klirsfeld was the first doctor who really listened to me and then provided treatment based on what I told him. He ended up prescribing a Richie-type brace which enabled me to get out of a walking boot after two months. He also ordered custom orthotics which I used when I got out of the brace. An excellent doctor - has been treating me for about 5 years now. Go for morning appointments, because afternoons tend to be a bit overbooked at times. Pleasant and competent staff as well.
