We rented the Sandlake house for two nights and we very much enjoyed our stay. The views are stunning, peaceful and the house was well stocked and very comfortable. Sitka Sedge Natural area is 3 mins away and if you are a birder that's the place to be (along with the estuary near Whalen County Park). You can hear the cars at the dunes at times but it becomes white noise quickly and you cannot hear them from inside the house. Having rented a few vacation homes over the years, it’s rare to find a place that truly matches its description and in fact exceeds expectations. This home is on the beach (!), it was immaculately clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable and the sheets were lovely quality and smelled clean and fresh. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, which is a rare find and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, dishes and utensils. Kiwanda Coastal properties provides prompt and attentive service to renters and has a wide range of wonderful properties available for rental at various price ranges and great value. Some reviews from a few years ago mentioned cleanliness as an issue and I can attest to changes over the past year that have greatly improved the cleanliness of their properties.

We have rented vacation homes for many years. This home had everything we needed! King-size beds and bathrooms in each bedroom and right on the beach. The large windows look out to the beach making it easy for us to watch the kids.
