TERRIBLE! Worst cut I've had in years. Communication was a problem, but mostly, there is absolutely NO styling. Poor cut. THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING. Cheap.

IF I HAD A CHANCE TO GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR, I SO WOULD! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I had an appointment today, but had to cancel the last min. because I got into an accident...so I called, and explained the situation and tried to reschedule. Customer Service is not a Strong Suit.... – I was deeply disappointed with my experience at Kiwa. Customer service and punctuality isn't their strong suit. I had come on time, thinking that I'd be quickly out of the salon. After dragging myself through the rain, I walked in on time into the salon. The assistant took my jacket. I waited. hair butchers – What qualifies as "edgy" or "hip" in this town? Perhaps the other 2 reviews have confused these concepts with the razor they love to employ at this salon. After all it is a shiny object and also distracting when an army of Japanese stylists who can neither speak English nor understand hair requests, even with the presence of a translator are all to eager to feather out your hard-grown hair with one. impeccable service with a hip twist – If you're looking for an edgy salon that approaches hair as a blank canvas and transforms it into art, then look no further. I gave Junko, my stylist, a drawing of the kind of hairstyle i wanted and she got it right on target. from thence on i've been a regular.

great customer service for an even better price – I am so happy to have found this salon! As a first time customer, you get 20% off. The prices are consistent for all stylists and they have a grid to show you the price breaks between full price, 15% off (FIT students) and 20% (1st time customer) so it's very clear what the cost is per service. Be pampered for a great price! – Kiwa is my new favorite! I've been to this Japanese salon twice now, and recieved the same great service both times. The staff are very friendly, give you plenty of attention, and never skimp on the details - taking your coat at the door, complimentary tea, scalp and shoulder massage with your shampoo!
