Awesome place, full of history but still making new advances and discoveries. Learned a ton from tours and got to see a lot while there. On top of all that, the views were amazing and was a great experience all around.
An opportunity I couldn't pass up! Visiting this place—so full of knowledge about our planet—was incredible; the guides, with their vast expertise, energize you as they demonstrate how the galaxy works. We are fortunate to live on the only planet that harbors life. The more than 20 telescopes situated around the mountain within the reserve leave you speechless, each serving a different purpose. The entire Kitt Peak mountain acts as a platform for them. Thank you to everyone for your extraordinary service to the community.
Our first time to Kitt Peak and we loved it! The beautiful sunset, watching the rain in the the distance, hearing about the background and discovery at this location, connections to different universities, seeing all the telescopes on the property and looking through and seeing stars (blue and yellow), the moon and other highlights of the evening. Our guide Jim was awesome! The gift shop had local made crafts.
