Our first time to Kitt Peak and we loved it! The beautiful sunset, watching the rain in the the distance, hearing about the background and discovery at this location, connections to different universities, seeing all the telescopes on the property and looking through and seeing stars (blue and yellow), the moon and other highlights of the evening. Our guide Jim was awesome! The gift shop had local made crafts.
Please put this on your #1 list of things to do in Tucson! We did the Nightly Observing Program/NOP. Yes, we took our kids ages 10, 13 & 15. Yes, it’s expensive, about $100/per person but believe me it’s totally worth it❣️All of our kids were so well behaved because they were so interested in learning about the telescopes and the sky.
