So I don't really want to leave a negative review but I feel like I have to. For background I have been going to KMHS for about three years now with a half a year break in the middle. I won't into the why but needless to say my brain is a mess and counseling has proven helpful for me to see stuff in a different light. For my first half of my time there they were great. I was seeking NeuroStim treatments. I have had a lot of traumatic events in my life, now that I am older a lot of these memories are haunting me on a daily basis and causing me to be to become very depressed. Neurostim is a TMS treatment for stubborn depression that does not yield to antidepressant meds. I found out that I had to have a counselor, and I had to try medication first to please the United Healthcare Medicare insurance. Extremely helpful and kind, especially in times of crisis or when you're just having a bad day, this place is very kind and understanding and help you with any problem or point you in the right direction if they're unable to help solve your problem. Even if you just need to vent to someone they will help you with any and most, if not all, needs! Just wish there were more places like this nationwide!
Male intake counselor made me so uncomfortable I had to leave in the middle of it, and was unable to register at all. I will never be back here with that guy around. He acted like a sociopath during the intake and stared at my chest alot
I can't give zero stars. Who needs action when you got words. They will listen but the resources to help you are tied up in bureaucracy and payroll. 4 out of 5 doctors recommended somewhere else.
