Kistner's Flowers was started in 1946 By Ray and Marie Kistner who had a love for flowers and bedding plants and were looking for a way to provide a quality product to the Manhattan area. In 1974 the business was sold to the Orr-Lee family who slowly changed from cut flowers and bedding plants to fresh flowers and Interior Plant-scaping. When a delivery of flowers appears at my door I can tell immediately which florist shop in town theyis making the delivery! I am not just getting some flowers I am getting a scupted piece of art work. One arrangement never looks the same as ones received in the past from this florist. Attention to detail in color and shapes of flowers are accented with embracing lines of green foliage. They are always a show stopper for anyone who has entered the house.
The flowers I received recently for my birthday were absolutely beautiful! The arrangement was a mixture of daffodils, hyacinth, iris, roses, chrysanthemum and the list goes on. It was so thoughtfully and artistically put together. It looked like I had my own flower garden on my kitchen table. Bravo to the designer and to Kistner's flowers!!! Thank you!
The people, the prices and the quality of service and prices are the best that I have found in the entire Manhattan area. Everyone is very pleasant and they go out of their way to make sure you leave the store with what you came in to get. I highly recommend them!!!
