Absolutely horrible experience with these people. The rentals are nice, but the people are incredibly--INCREDIBLY--rude to you. Showings were done as quickly as possible with little interest in whether or not you rented from them. Every time I spoke with them they treated me like I was an idiot, and they hurried me off as quickly as possible. After the lease ended, my roommate and I made sure the house looked better than it had when we arrived (which was filthy, by the way), and they still took a huge chunk from our deposit ... read more
I called every week for over a month and never got a call back. Next thing I know the property was rented out from under us when they said we would be the first to know. The front desk woman is incredibly rude and the properties all needed a lot of work. Incredibly dissatisfied.
Hopefully a mold or moisture issue will not arise in your rental too, if you choose to rent with them.
If I could give zero stars I would. Stay away at all costs - there are so many wonderful landlords in Kirksville, however this is not one of them. Don't expect to see your security deposit returned in any reasonable fashion or timeframe. Unprofessional is an understatement.
I had a good experience with the company. I made several appointments, and they were patient with me and helped me find a unit that fit my budget.
They did everything wrong the entire time I dealt with them. (Specific stories available if you want to hear them.). I couldn't decide if they were out to rip me off or are just terrible at their jobs. I wish I had read these other reviews before I made the mistake of getting anywhere near these people.
Literally rent from anyone else. KPM is a terrible business. They will make sure they keep your deposit even if everything looks like it did when you moved in. It takes them WEEKS to fix any kind of damage. My roof had a giant leak in it that took them over a month to even come and look at. The lady at the front desk, Tracy, has the sense of a sack of potatoes and is horribly rude. Try renting from Northeastern Missouri Properties or 4 Horizon's. KPM will take advantage of you in every way.
Plain awful experience renting with KPM. Lived with a few other college students and KPM took every opportunity to take advantage of us. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!
