Just FYI.... this specialist is more into diagnosing TMS . And focuses more on a mind-body approach. While he does seem knowledgeable, the effort to relate to the patient on a personal level to fulfill a patience trust, is limited. I was surprised he did not introduce himself to me or ask too many detailed questions. I didnt feel at the comfort level to keep him as a specialist for any type of treatment.
Misdiagnosed me completely, started me on meds that I didn't need! Went and got a second opinion and turns out Dr. Kim was way off in his diagnosis, im glad I trusted my gut and saw a different rheumatologist, or else I would be on medication for something I didnt have for the rest of my life!
I just saw Dr. Kim this morning. After explaining all of my symptoms. He did a simple exam. Looked at my previous x-rays and mri’s! Explains that I don’t have anything that associates with the HLA-B27 gene. You do have Fibromyalgia and there is not really a way to treat it. I've been going to Dr Kim for quite awhile. He and his staff are excellent 👍! He is thorough and very patient focused. I recommend him for anyone needing RA treatment.
