VERY BAD CONTRACTOR I had the same experience with this criminal. I gave him a $ 1000 for awning in may 2015 and never returned. He has been in and out of jail over the past two years. I found out he was arrested in may for child support $53,000. In 8/2013 he was arrested for 2 counts of thief by deception. Do not give this criminal any money. Thank you, Chris! Love it! We called Kingsway Awning with an unusual request. We asked Chris to make a new top for our custom canopy over our deck. It's 15' by 20'. and another custom 13. by 13,, Somehow, Chris and his crew managed to make a perfect fitting canopies for our poles that were half together at the time (our fault). Pergola (michelle and ned) We contacted Chris Hill of Kingsway Awning to make a canvas top for our pergola. He made the canvas top for our pergola from his recommended design and installation that was perfect for our project, all at a very reasonable price. Chris came out with his men in the rain to install our canvas top to keep his word on the promised installation date. Our pergola looks great thanks to Chris and Kingsway Awning.
rip off We did not want to add to the "bad" online reviews but as we see it, maybe we can save someone else from getting ripped off by Kingsway Awning Co and Chris Hill. Horrible Experience! Just as Patricia and Robert below had stated, we have unfortunately had the same experience as they did. We purposely went to Chris early this year with our repeated business because we understand his busy season. We gave our $1000 deposit in Feb.2012. We never heard a thing until we contacted him in April requesting our custom awning. M Despite Chris Hill's review below that he has the "best awning business on the East Coast", my story is just like Rober M.s who is correct. We gave Chris a large down payment of $1,000 on March 6, 2012. Installation was to happen the third week in April. We have no awning. Many numerous calls and emails have not been answered. He has refused to contact us to give us a status of why we don't have our awning or return our deposit. DO NOT contract Kingway Awning because he will take the money and run.
Satisfied It is impossible to stop idiots from posting bad things about hard working people. So with that being said. Kingsway awning is one of the best awning companies on the east coast.
Bad Business On 4-12-11 I hired Kingsway Awning to install a awning on the back deck on my house I gave the owner Chris Hill $1500.00 to start the job and was told it would be completed in 3 to 4 weeks. I called after 61/2 to 7 weeks 3 times to see what was going on. He finally called me back and said he had problems with his wife and stated he would have the frame work up in 2 weeks so after the 4th week I called the shop and left 5 to 6 messages with no returned calls.
