Awesome place, great staff and service
We made a reservation for 9 kayaks. Reservation according to the owner is guaranteeing those number of kayaks. There were 7, 1 with a seat that was too small for my son who is a beanpole. We were told we could take a canoe now, or wait 30 minutes for 3 more kayaks to be brought from the other sight because someone forgot to bring them back. When asking for a discount seeing the canoes are $75 per kayak and the inconvenience of having to wait 30 minutes after driving 45 minutes, he said he is sorry, but with outfitting compan... read more

Love the staff and the place! Beautiful setting and great outfitters.
Cons: There was a large group of people camping in the same spot(probably around 20 of them). They had their electronic music on high volume all night long, besides the fact that they also had night club lights (yes, those lights you only see inside a night club). We were camping close to them but we couldn’t enjoy our fire at night because their light (and music) were just too much for what “camping/nature” should mean to people in general. We took our family for a weekend getaway & we were told the day before that the river was good & that there would be transportation as our son-in-law has to use a cane. When we got there the 7 mile river trip was unfloatable because the water was too low so they cut us down to 5 miles. Transportation consisted of us driving OUR cars down to the lake, dropping off everyone and everything then following someone again in OUR cars to what would be the end on a "road" that should only be traveled on by a truck.
