This King's Fish House does not compare to other King's restaurants. The service was extremely slow. I almost sent the dessert back I had to wait so long. I enjoyed the scallops, but the shrimp was just ordinary. I will try other restaurants next time in Carlsbad. There was a reason there were so many empty tables on a Saturday night.
Slow service and inattentive at best. Fried foods are overdone with lost flavor. Wouldn't go back. I was surprised givenalk the high marks they have here. Maybe we were just there on an off day because it wasn't really very busy.
The blue cheese walnut salad and fried oyster appetizer may be my all time favorite meal. Especially with that great sour dough bread. Heaven.
Me and my boyfriend love this place. We are in Oceanside but love the fresh fish and the selection of beer and wine's are great. Perfect customer service in the bar on a Saturday night no wait we walked right in as usual. Can't say enough about the ono! He had the mile high sampler with oysters..crab...etc.
Food was average or below for our group of 5. Nobody says they would be back.

Apps, service, main dishes, atmosphere were all 5 stars and I would definitely come back and hold group events here again!
King's Fish House has hosted the I AM HOPE Project Christmas Breakfast the past 10 years and has been an amazing event every year!!! I am blessed to have been a part of this from the beginning! The staff is friendly, courteous and treat everyone with the utmost respect!
