I was ill on 4/4/26 and had to go to KDMC ER. The nurse who triaged me took me back quickly and was kind during my triage. Fortunately for me, I was assigned to Megan W's, RN pod. Megan W. was wonderful the entire time we were in the ER. She took time to listen to what was going on and relayed questions as they arose to the doctor. Megan, RN was very busy while I was there but still checking on me also. kings daughters ashland is the worst hospi tal is the worst of all the hospitals i have been to in my 66 years, most of ther workers have a way of telling people they hate there job. I cannot express enough how bad its gotten. bottem line if you need hospital care go elsewhere, anywhere is better than kings hospital. The best hospital i have found is SOMC southern ohio medical ce.nter, go there and you will be amazed at the large difference. Arnold Perkins

I needed my knees injected. They called and told me it was approved by my insurance. 2 months later,I received a $1200 bill. I was not told what I had to pay. I know I should have asked. But I assume when they told me I was approved,I took it I would not have to pay anything. I'm on a fixed income so I was paying $75 per month. KDMC turned my bill over to a collection agency. I'm doing the best I can. I think it's pretty dirty how they slipped a $1200 bill on me and then turn it in to a collection agency. I'LL NEVER WILL USE... read more

You need to work on communication between departments. 3 phone calls 4 questionnaires on line. Detailed instructions to patient on medications to take pre-op...but day of they do not know what meds you were supposed to take? Last surgery anesthesia caused vomiting for 36 hours. They noted to not give that one again. Day of, said that "probably" didn't make you sick. So we are going to chance it again ??
