Best Unisex Salon in Newark! King Unisex Salon is hands down the best place to be in Newark. The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and professional. I walked in with no appointment and was taken care of right away. The owner, Safiatou, is incredibly sweet, respectful, and professional. I walked into King Unisex Salon as a random walk-in with no appointment, and I left seriously impressed. The stylist’s professionalism is out of this world she’s focused, respectful, and clearly takes pride in her work. The salon was clean, the vibe was chill, and her braiding skills are elite. I requested that she braid my hair using only oil and no gel because of my sensitive, dry scalp, and she had no problem doing that.
