The receptionist at King Edward East Wing Clinic (blonde hair) was extremely rude and unhelpful. Very unprofessional attitude — definitely needs proper training or a change in role.

I’m still in fortnightly therapy after the trauma of my birth here. Severely convinced into an induction, followed by non consensual physical interventions, a failed epidural that the midwife didn’t notify anaesthetics for, and more, all ending in an emergency caesarean under general anaesthetic. So many things could have been avoided. This doesn’t include the pregnancy appointments where you wait 3+ hours to see your midwife/doctor each time. I would never birth here again.

I’m pretty shocked and disgusted in this hospital. 1st time we went here was a bit over a year ago and my partner went through a very traumatic experience giving birth. Fast forward to now and it seems to be worse, the only reason we went here is because it was on the way, not because we wanted to. This hospital preaches to care about women but the way my partner is treated is a joke. I’m not sure if it’s racism or they just don’t care but we will be taking this further than a review. BE WARY of this place! Treated like you’re just a number in the pregnancy clinic. My assigned Dr was not compassionate; she even asked me if I wanted to have an abortion at my first appointment just because I expressed that I was having a difficult pregnancy! I was about 16 weeks (& still sick) then I think. She also falsely represented me (talked about me negatively) to the Psychiatric Consultant!
