The Ryder is the absolute best and only place to stay in Charleston! Starting off with the team - EVERYONE is kind, overly helpful and the pure definition of hospitality. We stayed in the Palm Suite for our wedding weekend and we wish we could move in. The restaurant and the coffee bar was so perfect and the food is DELICIOUS! Shout out to Austin !!! Great room, great location, comfy bed. Can't ask for too much more.
The room is small which you expect for this location, but decorated really well. And you have everything you need in the room. The pool was nice, but much smaller than the photos. The location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere from the hotel. The service everywhere at this hotel was top notch! We felt very welcomed here. The check in process was fantastic. We stayed for 4 nights. This is a really nice boutique hotel, with a great coffee bar, pool, and bar/restaurant area adjacent to it. Just be aware that if you have a room on the main courtyard, you will have loud drum-machine music on from mid-morning to 11 pm at night. The receptionist downplayed this when we asked about it after checking in, but unfortunately this made our stay unpleasant.
