I wasn't sure if my water filter was in need of service yet and was getting algae in my toilets and faucets. I called Kinetico and they sent Juan out within a couple days. He advised that the algae was due to the filter working well in removing the chlorine and other materials. He said I didn't need to rebed the filter yet but simply bypass it for a few days to allow some chlorine back into my pipes then turn the filter back on.
