I do not understand the negative reviews of Dr. Maria VonderHaar, the new owner of Kindred Spirits. I didn't know what was going to happen when Dr. Siwek, the original owner of the practice, retired, but my experience with Dr. Maria has been wonderful. Our senior cat, Max, didn't want to come out of his carrier last week on his first visit. Dr. Maria VonderHaar is the kindest and most genuinely caring veterinarian I have ever met and that is saying something as I have been fortunate to meet many outstanding veterinarians and board certified veterinarians. I was torn in writing this review because there is a part of me that wanted to gatekeep this. Dr. V is superb rehabilitation and integrative vet. Dr. Vonderhaar is amazing. She is very observant and a brilliant diagnostician. In addition, Kindred Spirits is very reasonably priced for the Chicago area.
Great doctor, great installation, helping our cat that has cancer and another one that has vomiting issues. Highly recommend.
