Gentiva hospice is a great resource. Rachal McGee is a phenomenal person. She is incredibly helpful throughout the process and is calm, kind and consistent.

We recently placed my father in Gentiva Hospice Care. We were bogged down trying to get a referral from the doctor. Once Nikki from Gentiva got in the case things moved almost at lightening speed. She told me what I needed to do and what she was going to do. Including making personal visits to the doctor’s office. Nikki was both top a top notch professional and also so very personable. Being on this journey of life requires a total team of support and care! Gentiva delivered it all! I can not imagine how I would have traveled this road without Gentiva's staff being on my team! From the beginning to the end, they handled every detail! I wasn't prepared for any of this journey! Gentiva was! I could go on and on! Please beware of Gentiva Hospice of Richmond VA. My dear friend was dismissed without a referral, medication, and medical care. I guess she isn't dying fast enough to receive longer care/ service even though she has terminal diagnoses. While under Gentivia Hospice care, more than once, some of her pain meds went missing. My understanding is that a doctor is required to refer their patient to another provider when releasing them. That did not happen.
