Party of 2 went for lunch on a Saturday at noon in April. We had a reservation, and were seated immediately. We shared the papaya salad. I had the khao soi while my friend had the yaowaraj noodle. Everything was delicious. I especially liked the curry and the crisp noodles in my khao soi. The place is a bit on the expensive side, and our total came to a hundred bucks including tips and taxes.
This restaurant is probably the most authentic Thai restaurant that we have been to in the States. Between the three of us, we got the mushroom hor mok (highly recommend!), charred eggplant salad, yaowaraj noodle, and massaman nuea. All of the dishes were cooked wonderfully, and some of them had flavors we had never experienced before. Although the restaurant was way too loud at times, it was great finally being able to try Kin Khao, and I am glad it had lived up to the hype.
I ordered half portion of Gaeng Hed for almost $25 (because I mistakenly thought full portion would be too large for me). Very tasty but half portions were too small. I also ordered pickles. They were crunchy with right amount of acidity. Overall, It was tasty but too expensive for what I got.
Kin Khao Thai Eatery has a 4.2 star rating with 2,266 reviews.
