I am extremely disappointed with how my dress turned out. I cannot speak to other jobs he does, but if you want a perfect wedding dress, I would look elsewhere. Do your research. Go somewhere where they actually have picture proof of their work. Kims Taylor has a lot of great reviews, but curiously no pictures with any of them. That should have been a red flag for me. I originally bought my dress from David's Bridal, however, they assured me they wouldn't be able to alterations I wished to have done. I googled a few places and came across Kim's Tailors. Don't let the place fool you - It's a little shop in Valley West, but like any other hole in the wall place, the quality makes it stand out! I was very pleased with the alterations that were done to a suit and tuxedo. Very friendly staff and quite reasonably priced for the quality received. I will continue going back as long as I live in the Des Moines area.

Best in the metro I have been going here for over 26 years and Joseph and his team are the best in the metro. Who do you know that you can order suit material and have them make you a suit that fits like a glove . GO HERE YOU WONT BE SORRY . I dont even worry about buying pants or shirts that fit because I know Kims will make them fit

Original Tailor of Des Moines, IA – Kim's Tailors is an excellent business that has been around for almost 40 years at Valley West Mall. My family and I have been going to him for as long as I can remember. I am never disappointed with his work. He knows how to fix any problem and can finish the tailoring in less than a week. I have brought in a variety of different fabrics such as denim and leather and I never leave disappointed. Amazing job done – I took my wedding dress there along with my 5 out of 6 bridesmaids and Mr. Kim did a wonderful job! My wedding dress was bought in a sample sale so he basically needed to make it a completely different size. I was apprehensive because he only requested one fitting but the end result was that it fit me like a glove! He was professional and friendly. One of my bridesmaids took her dress somewhere else and they ended up doing a botched job which ended in her dress ripping at the zipper. Mr. Kim was able to do... read more

Highly recommended tailor – Kim's Tailor always does a wonderful job on my alterations. I would recommend going here if you would like quality work done to your clothes. I have been taking my alterations here for over 10 years and have always been satisfied with them.
