I went to my appointment and stated that I didn't think I needed a translation tablet, but a very kind assistant brought one just in case and placed it facing me. The questions went fine.. when the doctor arrived, she seemed uncomfortable. She asked me to pull down my pants and turn around to examine me. I asked for the tablet to be turned so it was facing the wall, and she said 'I don't know if I can' and asked the interpreter if they agreed with that. Although Dr. Higgins was thorough and seemed knowledgeable during my establishing care appointment, I cannot establish a patient-doctor trust with this provider. I canceled a follow-up appointment because I felt very dismissed during an urgent post Urgent care visit matter where she lacked empathy and follow-up regarding my concern despite me asking if there was any chance she could squeeze me in for an appointment at the earliest convenience.
