Dr. Bartosiak and her team were great. I got answers right away and when necessary, they called me back to discuss what was going on. The support from her team was fantastic. If you have to have a knee replacement, go with Dr. Bartosiak.
I had an accident 50 years ago. I broke my left femor and dislocated my left knee. I was 10 years old. I was put into a body cast and left lay for 3 months. How my knee laid in the cast was how it healed. My left leg is also about a half inch shorter than the right leg. I used orthotics in my shoes. Which severely limited my choice of shoes. I went to Dr Bartosiak for a total knee replacement of my left knee. I couldn't be more pleased with her and the staff. The surgery went well, she always took time to answer any questions and explained the surgery and possible complications well. Both Simone and Payton were always very helpful answering any questions I had before surgery and also post op. I would highly recommend Dr Bartosiak and staff to anyone needing this procedure!
Dr. Kimberly Bartosiak, Wash U Ortho, did my knee replacement surgery. I really liked her and the no-nonsense way she handles everything. Prior to surgery, I questioned her on several things - i.e. do I need an ice machine, do I need a recumbent bike. I started calling her my "you'll be fine" doctor bc in her opinion you could recover without any extra stuff, just do as she says. And, she was right bc I recovered with few issues. Dr. Bartosiak is a very caring surgeon with a great bedside manner to help you understand everything and prepare you for what you will need to do before, during and after surgery. Highly recommend Dr. Bartosiak for knee surgery. In addition; Dr. Bartosiak also sends out daily text messages which are really helpful. The text tell you what to expect for the future healing within your knee and a lot of encouraging your ego to continue following all the physical therapy and exercising at home.
