Pretty good! – I feel Dr. Goel is very thorough every time we've been in there no matter how busy he is. He has many years experience in pediatrics and that means a lot to me as I feel experience is the best teacher. I'm sure he's seen it ALL.....and several times at that. They try to get you in same day but beware......the wait is usually long (over an hour). His medical assistant staff could use a better bed side manner. They've always been, for lack of a better term, kinda "flat" and not bubbly, which I think would make t... read more
Witholding of health service for profit – My 5 year old daughter has had a urinary tract infection 3 times yet Kaiser refuses to treat it with the correct antibiotics or even look at a urine sample unless it is uncontaminated (80% of all urine samples are contaminated). When the second & totally obvious urinary tract infection affected my daugther & she couldn't walk we had to take her to Doernbachers childrens hospital where the ER doctor had her take a urine sample & just by looking at how cloudy the urine was, knew right ... read more
horrible phone customer service – I have made six different attempts to schedule an appointment. I keep getting transferred around, and I've been hung up on all six times by now. The phone operators are horrible! Good luck scheduling an appointment.
The WORST - Kaiser Epitomizes Everything Wrong in Healthcare – What happens when your insurance company is your healthcare provider? You get the absolute worst substandard treatment in the medical field. Kaiser Permanete is fast food healthcare exemplified. The typical Kaiser doctor is incompetent, one who doesn't take time for the patient to actually consider health care issues, concerns and rational treatment options. Instead you get a five minute appointment and lots of perscriptions. Since Kaiser is the insurance provide... read more
The Best convlescent care facility in my experience – I just happened upon the previous negative review and have to put in my 2 cents... On 12/312005 I fell on my kitchen floor and broke my hip, after surgery and a little over a week at Kaiser Oakland I was place in the Kaiser Permanente Post Acute Care facility in San Leandro. Having observed the horrible , neglectful and cruel care received by my grandfather in one "fancy" care home and in later years inadiquate care my mother received on two incidents in two different car... read more
Wish I could switch my insurance! – Seems like I always have to be seen by 3 different people to figure out what's wrong with me. If you want to know something then ask because no one will explain much. Most of the doctors I've seen there don't listen very well either and don't take my concerns seriously.
A Sorry Excuse for Care – This is the worst place anyone can ever send a loved one. My father was sent there for recovery from a knee injury. The whole facility reminds me of an old hospital out of the 1960's and I believe they still have the same curtains from that hospital. The trash within the rooms were overflowing with garbage and one of the nurses yelled at a resident, telling him, "No one is going to help you. Shut up." This is no post acute care center, but instead a place that others put those they do not love and d... read more
She saved my life! I owe my life to Dr. Ohlson. She diagnosed my breast cancer during a regular annual check up. Despite the fact that I was having annual mammograms at the time, the cancer was not diagnosed until Dr. Olson felt it during a regular breast exam. She referred me to an Oncologist right away, and because it was diagnosed so early, my life has been saved. It has been seven years since, and there does not go a day that I don't think of Dr. Ohlson, and her careful examination that saved my life. I thank her from th... read more
