KML shows are fantastic not just because they provide great sketch comedy, which can be hard to come by, but because they also invest in creating future generations of funny people. They develop actors, writers, and directors who go on to create great work even after they leave, but they also help people find their voice and talents they didn't know they had. See a show, then take a class.
I was a student at Killing My Lobster before joining their sketch comedy acting and writing ensembles. Every show I've worked on, whether I've made the funny words or performed the funny words has been a delight, and every show I've had the chance to see has been side-splittingly, laugh-out-loud funny. They're an adventurous group and I love working with them!
KML puts on high quality sketch comedy that's funny and often poignant. The work they do with 826 Valencia - teaching sketch writing to children and allowing them the chnce to see their work done professionally - is one of my favorite programs KML runs.

Killing My Lobster is a SF Bay Area sketch comedy institution, and it's been so exciting to watch it grow, evolve, and thrive over the years. They are constantly challenging themselves, their artists, and their audiences with new formats and fresh material, and the result is fast-paced hilarious and innovative comedy that never disappoints. I've been to 5+ KML shows in the past year and each one is better production value than the last. You're getting a show with crazy talented, organized, players and high quality writing and props for a fraction of what you'd pay to see a show at ACT or similar every single time. Belly laughs abound !
