Fronted by a 1939 Kullman dining car, the KDG has one of only 6 diners in the national registry of historic buildings. Our unique restaurant features table-top juke boxes, (non-functional) providing an opportunity to explain to your kids what a record is. An historic edifice is not the only attraction here, inside you will find friendly service and an enticing menu full of high quality food.

I visited The Kill Devil Grill about 3 years ago and at first, I liked it. Then, the next year that I vacationed here, I went to the restaurant and did not like it at all..Tonight, I decided to try it again....This was a big mistake...I ordered the jumbo fried soft shell crab meal for $29.95. First of all, these were certainly not jumbo soft shell crabs...That would have been okay though if they were really good. LOVE the diner look - even the sign outside is fantastic! The interior decor/ accent pieces/ signage/ antique(?) bar, etc. provides wonderful ambience - but of course the main thing is the FOOD - which is superb!!! Highly recommend the fish sandwich, PBR shrimp, key lime pie, on & on...
Was kind of skeptical about ordering pasta down south but the pasta was delicious Had grilled shrimp over angel hair pasta yumm Would recommend this place.

OMG...y'all out did yourselves with the coconut encrusted grouper with basmati rice, thai curry sauce & pineapple salsa. You are our favorite restaurant in OBX...we eat there a lot but holy moly....that meal reminded us of being back in the Caribbean! Wow...wow...WOW you nailed it!!!!!
Seriously the best! They were busy and the team there worked really great to make our 45-1hr wait to 35 mins! Very impressed with the staff there. Plus their food was amazing! Best choice for our romantic dinner for two!
The service as well as the food was impeccable. Love the people there as well as the food. Everything is right on time.
Food was delicious! We had the shrimp and angel hair, southwestern salad, pork piccata, and crab cakes. Everything cooked perfectly! Waitstaff was attentive and friendly. Very relaxing atmosphere. We will be back.
