Love it – Everything was totally excellent in Kikyo. Delicious food, along with a great service and atmosphere. My husband and I had a wonderful time. We highly recommend this charming restaurant
Bad review not possible! – I was just surprised about some of the negative reviews on here so I decided to leave one of my own. I am a frequent customer going here (mainly for the sushi) about once a month. I never have had a problem with service or have been denied anything I asked for. Kikyo Restaurant is highly recommended! we love this place. It's small and less known than some other places around town but the food is great and the service is very nice. I get the bibimbob (sp?) just about every time we go. The kim chi set is great and, as it comes with the dinner, the value is fantastic. Some sushi loving friends love to sit at the bar and get entertained by the slightly eccentric sushi chef. Highly recommended!
Best traditional home-cooked comfort food – My wife lived in Japan almost 3 years, I have traveled throughout Japan for extended periods over 16 times in 12+ years. Doing business, having a best friend and living with his family, doing home stays, and with a brother and and sister-in-law living there... and HERE is where we go for everyday, ordinary food done correctly and priced fairly. Great sushi chef, fresh food – Hidden Gem. The chef is friendly and willing to accomodate any request - plus he always has some of his own! I have never been dissappointed. Frequent specials in addition to wide assortment or fresh cuts of fish. I have taken friends, clients, and family, always a good choice.
If you love Japanese, Don't Bother! – I wanted to try this place because I read some decent reviews. Upon first arrival, I peered through the windows and saw nobody. Took a seat at the sushi bar and was greeted nicely by the sushi chef. The waitresses were not all that pleasant.
