JMF This place is one of our family favorites! Great atmosphere, although can be loud for conversation at times inside. Good menu, great food, reasonable prices. Fun to watch the pizza guys spin the dough and they will let kids play with dough as well while you wait for your meal. Outdoor seating is awesome for that one of a kind Santa Cruz people watching experience. Love this place!
GO ON FRIDAYS OR SATURDAY NIGHTS!! very cool place, obviously known for their pasta and pizza, everything is made fresh. on busy nights, typically fridays and saturdays, they do a dance, sing, and spin pizza dough and toss it in the air. the portions are large and very reasonable pricing. You have the choice to sit inside or outside as well.
Incredible Service – Our service was great and the waiter was adorable. Ambiance was romantic and definitely recommended. For the music,,,I would recommend jazz or house and the people were cool. Portions were good.
Great Happy Hour and Food – Although the food is always good, Happy Hour has a great small menu that is amazing. You can get a pizza roll and a beer for under $6. Add a Happy Hour beer and you're set

Not the best!! – I went with family from out of town and I was embarrassed at the service (it was terrible). While the food was pretty good the service was so bad I would not be going back. There are other places with much better service AND better food. The lay-out of the resturant is also another issue that needs attention. While eating you have staff yelling orders to each other almost right through you. Very annoying to say the least!! If hey get their act together maybe I would return, and or recommend it. Terrible place to dine – we had some friends from out of the country visiting and we took them to Kiantis.I was ashamed of the service. the waitress acted like she had better things to do than serve us, she was extremely rude and made us feel very uncomfortable. I will NEVER be going back and i do not recommend it to anyone.
Perhaps some service with your food? – Kianti's is probably one of the hottest restaurants in downtown Santa Cruz. Everybody I know that's visited Santa Cruz (in the past year or so) knows of, or has eaten at, Kianti's. Being that it's so "hot", it tends to get packed on Friday and Saturday nights, especially in between the hours of 7PM-9PM.
