Dr Khuu said my insurance was fully covered for the acne treatments including chemical peel after my co-payment. However, they are charging so much and we have to pay $160 on top of the co-pay for each session.
Visits with Dr. Khuu had positive aspects, but some concerns arose. Recommended skincare ($500+) caused unexpected irritation, leading me to stop use within one week at the instruction if Dr. Khoi himself who sold me the products to begin with. No returns allowed despite the irritation. Upfront fees and additional charges felt surprising; clearer pricing info beforehand would've been helpful. Beware of Unethical Practices - Not Worth Your Time or Money I am compelled to share my disappointing experience with Dr. Duke Khuu. My interactions with him have been nothing short of disheartening, revealing a pattern of unethical practices that compelled me to find another dermatologist. Firstly, I was coerced into purchasing three of his exclusive skin care products, totaling close to $500. RecommendedDoctor Khuu is very friendly, kind, and very patient to me when I ask him too many questions. Dr. Khuu and his staff are very good at what they do and I highly recommend them for their services.
Doctor Khuu completely misdiagnosed my condition. He prescribed me ketoconazole for fungal treatment and got my condition worse. I went for a biopsy as requested by my doctor. He did not want to do it. He doesn't listen to the patient I am not going back to his office ever and I recommend everyone else to do the and avoid this guy He is useless
I had to wait a long time from my scheduled appointment time until I saw MD. Most had to do with the gentleman in the reception area who didn't even start my reg process until I had waited for more than 20 minutes even though I was initially the only one in the waiting room. The waiting room is very small and some people were in the hall waiting for someone to leave waiting room so they would have a place to sit.
