We drive 100 miles one way to eat at Key West Shrimp House. Kudos to Cathy for continuing the great tradition . Wonderful food, excellent service and great friends! Key West and Madison feel like home for us.
hands down best shrimp cocktail and sauce I have ever eaten ... great food ... great service ... we love eating here !
We went in just after 1pm. We sat at a table for at least 10 min. waiting for a waitress. She finally brought us water. Then about another 10 min she came to bring us menus. After about another 10 min she came to take our order. We then waited about 20 min. to get our food. When the waitress finally came around again we ordered a dinner to go and some pie for dessert. Excellent food & service . .I had baked Salmon . .my friend had Cajun Shrimp .oh & the bread yummy . . ...and the bonus is the view of the Ohio river It's worth the drive
Oyster Rockfellers were horrible, there needs to be a spinach cream, definitely NO bacon bits. The Australian Fish was dripping with water, as if it had been frozen. Fresh is always best. Where's the rolls? No toast please. And, we were in the restaurant for a total of 2 1/2 hours. Most of this time was spent waiting, thank goodness I was with great company.
If you like really good food, good people, and dining in a place with lots of character, this is the place to be. Every single bite was a treat and the service was excellent!
The food was outstanding not... Our waitress however, not so much. We sat on the patio area and she commented how she "gets stuck inside sometimes." I'm sorry, but your outdoor tables deserve just as much attention. The only time we ever seen her was when she had a food or drink to bring us and we had several empty glasses on our table by the end of our meal.
