Excellent communicator & takes the time to explain diagnosis
Doctor Wood has the best bedside manner with strong professional competence. It is so pleasant to meet him.
I was referred to Dr Wood after some numbers on routine blood tests came in high. Dr. Wood thoroughly explained the possible ramifications of the test results. He ordered 5 additional tests. When the results came in, I was elated and relieved to hear from Dr. Wood that they showed no signs of cancer. But not only did he say those words, he explained the meaning of each test and the resulting blood numbers. I came away feeling much more knowledgeable about my own body's workings.
Dr. Kevin Wood is everything you look for in an oncologist. He listens to your concerns and needs, then takes them into consideration when providing you with what he deems the most appropriate course of action. He is personable and patient, knowledgeable and competent. Everything you want from your doctor in what is a very trying time.
Dr. Wood went ABOVE and BEYOND while treating me, I can't speak HIGHLY enough about his genuine caring nature, immediate follow up and follow through. During an infusion process I had one thing after another occur, the nurse called Dr. Wood and he actually came down to the center in person to see me instead of giving orders over the phone, not once but twice in the same day. Professional, polite, caring, highly recommended. Office staff and nurses are also AMAZING!
