After 4 1/2 months of not being able to get treated for low oxygen despite being on oxygen I decided with the suggestion of pulmonology department to be seen in the ED to try and figure out what was happening. I was seen at the Nampa St Lukes ED. Within seconds of him walking into the room he yawns and looks at me and says "what do you want me to do for you?" I was taken back by the question. Told him what had been going on and he just treated me like he was annoyed that I was there. He went on to tell me that if I was dying... read more

Went in for an ankle injury for my wife. He was arrogant, rude, and was condescending towards any questions we asked about a treatment plan or what his observations were based on the X-rays taken. We will not be going back to St Luke’s Meridian because of this unprofessional doctor.

Wow. What a condescending doctor. I had been having sever back and stomach pain for a week before I finally came in. He interrupted my description of the issue, telling me what I must REALLY be feeling. I think he thought I was a pill seeker, I asked for anything that would help, not narcotics or anything of the sort. After 3 hours and crying in pain the nurse finally convinced him to give me some. On check out he said to take Acetaminophen at home instead of ibuprofen. I asked if that was ok because I had been previously to... read more

I have been battling iron deficiency anemia for 16 years. Due to low hemoglobin the oncall PCP sent me to the ER for a blood transfusion. Dr Timmel's bedside manner was professional and his management of my condition set me on the course of resolving my condition, ie referral to a Gastroenterologist and then to a surgeon. Thank you.

I give this man 0 stars!!! He is dismissive and arrogant. This doctor acts as if you were annoying him by being there with him. I had the unfortunate meeting of him in the ER at St. Luke’s Meridian. He was unprofessional, preoccupied on a non-emergency phone call, which he answered in the middle of our conversation, and at the end of a scary situation he came in not even knowing my original symptoms. Thank God for the intelligent and caring nurses! I would NEVER RECOMMEND him to ANYONE!

Unfortunately Dr. Timmel treated me like a drug addict trying to get pain pills when I was sent to the ER by an Urgent Care physician for back pain that we thought was kidney related. Dr. Timmel talked at me, telling me how I felt. I did not feel he was listening to me explaining my pain. He didn't seem to believe that I had seen an Urgent Care doctor for this issue, and kept referring back to a doctor visit for a "similar" issue months before this. He advised me to get an MRI, insurance denied.

Dr. Timmel was frustrating & awful. I went to the emergency room reluctantly. Rather than trying to listen/work with me, Timmel had already decided what he believed was my "issue" (which was incorrect). He apparently couldn't let it go. Despite test results THAT HE'D ORDERED (which didn't confirm his "theory") he continued to question me in some sort of effort to prove that he was right. He wasn't. It's sad to say, but I don't understand why this man even became a doctor. Avoid him if you can!

Dr. Timmel is incompetent. Why does St. Luke's have this guy on staff? He ridiculed me, gave me false test results by saying my tests were fine when they were not. He gave me unnecessary tests and made me leave with no help for the migraine I came by ambulance with. Come to find out I had a brain tumor and because of his arrogant attitude and terrible hospital notes, it was not found for another year. PLEASE ST. Luke's take him off your staff!

Dr. Timmel was extremely arrogant, condescinding, and flat out rude. I went to the ER because my Doctor told me to due to the symptoms I was having after a procedure. He ran tests that were irrelevant and after they came back clear he informed me that the ER is for emergencies only. When I asked him questions his only response was the "he's not a fortune teller." He wouldn't let me stay in the room for 15 minutes until my ride got there because again "the emergency room is for emergencies."
