I had him as my PCP for a little over a year and never actually saw him once! I only ever saw one of his PA's
I have been a patient of Dr. Lanphear's since 1996. Dr. Lanphear has always been professional, patient and responsive. I understand how his manner may be jarring to some - he can be very direct and no-nonsense. Dr. Lanphear has been so kind and helpful to me for all the years I’ve been under his care. He is caring and compassionate. He is also funny and easy to talk to. He’s the best doctor I’ve ever had.
I switched to Dr Lanphear in 2018. I found him very thorough and easy to talk to. Each time I visited, I was taken in, on time with no issues at all. The office is conveniently located and plenty of parking. I'm glad I made the switch.
He does listen to women, dismisses their complaints, gets annoyed when you ask questions.
I find Dr. Lanphere to be condescending and impatient. He does not listen well and seems more interested in the symptoms than the patient. Each time after seeing him I told myself I would get a new primary care physician. I kept coming back because it was difficult to find a good doctor that was taking new patients. I finally found one am looking forward to new primary care.
Dr. Lanphear is patient with his patients, friendly, and trustworthy. I frequently recommend him to others.
He is very courteous and personable. He takes the time to listen to any issues or concerns, is always willing to recommend a course of treatment and discuss that treatment with you and is quick with any followup to share lab results. I only wish his office staff did reminder calls or txts regarding appts made like my dentist does. It doesnt have to be a personal call. Could be automated system.
