Went in for chronic hip pain. I waited 4 hours, but was able to get an X-Ray during that time. In the last hour I seen people that came in after me getting rooms. I went and asked what was going on and the registration person said he read the X-Ray and discharged me without even seeing me thinking I wouldn’t notice. They got me back on the queue to be seen after another hour I was moved to a waiting room with no medical equipment or bed. I have never been sick worse than a flu until I came to the Stormont Vail ER with chest pains. After I waited for almost five hours and was scared to death and stressed about how to pay my bill, Schierling was dismissive, condescending, and made me feel like an inconvenience for even coming in that day. Dr Kevin Schierling treated my husband in the ER. I am a ER nurse, and can tell you the standard of care is poor at this facility. Doug was told to go to ER from the clinic for headache, hand numbness and high blood pressure. No cardiac labs were drawn to rule out MI. After his head CT was clear they discharged him with a diagnose of high blood pressure. High blood pressure doesn’t cause hand numbness.
