I’ve been here twice in the last year, and both times the actual wait ended up being about double what they estimated. This place is terrible at keeping to the posted wait times.
WHY ON EARTH this place has only 1.7 stars I’ll never know!! We went in for my husband’s abdominal pain on a Saturday morning and we were seen by nurses within minutes of walking in. Dr Aurora was there shortly after. We had blood tests back and CT scan confirming a ruptured appendix within the HOUR, plus pain meds and antibiotic while we worked out details of the transfer to Soin for surgery. Kettering Health network is a joke. My partner was in the ER 4 times in 5 days due to excruciating pain leaving him unable to move - 3 of those visits were to Kettering, twice in Springfield and once in Xenia. My partner was denied pain meds for the entirety of his last visit, and sent home in even more pain than he arrived in. He begged not to be sent home on two separate visits because we were just going to have to come right back “if the pain gets worse” despite the pain BEING worse already. If you have a child, and it’s not completely life or death, just save your time and copay and go to a Children’s ER. You’ll receive better diagnosis, documentation, and treatment from the NPs and Doctors at Children’s than you will here.
