My wife had a brain tumor removed and the neurosurgeons were excellent. The nurses however on the Fifth floor neurologist floor were horrible. The physicians said after 6 days postoperative she should be able to shower and ccn my wife asked to however, they ignored our requests first stating an order was needed then a consult. Wtf? The doctors said yes go it. Nurses refused then after several more days the PA told me they no longer go that but occupational therapy did. How was I to know that? By osmosis? My wife was admitted to the main campus, and she was treated like royalty! The doctors were fantastic, and the nurses went above and beyond! They were like best friends! My wife may have cancer and they all felt her pain and worry. The comfort they gave her was given with the upmost care and compassion. Her time there left a mark on her heart that will be with her the rest of her life, as well as mine. Words just can't convey the way we felt when she was there! Thank you, Kettering health, for caring for my wife!
