Dr. Patel saved my Dad's life and gave us additional years to spend with him after a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. After my Dad's successful tumor extraction, Dr. Patel, Lisa NP and the entire team at North took care of all the questions and helped our Dad & family recover. It meant the world to me given the fact we were on a journey together until he passed away 5 years later. Forever grateful as I lived 1200 miles away. Distance caregiving is a whole other level of understanding that North Memorial gets.

Terrible experience with a maxillofacial surgery with Dr Patel and Dr Afwerke. Left with significant constant pain. Jaw relapsed with a nonunion which they refused to acknowledged and improperly maintained medical records and seemingly intentional hiding of documents that would show their poor medical care. They made my bite worse, my pain worse and my jaw worse off than when I came to them. Also it seems Dr Patel is completely uninvolved with his patients and residents do it all. I had an oral tumor removed and everything went well. Same day surgery. They were running behind so we had to sit longer than expected but each team member that was a part of my surgery came in and introduced themselves. They explained everything that was to be done to me. And answered all my questions. I was pleased with that. I was nervous at first but they made me feel at ease with their great personaties and jokes. They took things serious but kept things light hearted. That was important to me.
