Last year in December, I had my first colonoscopy. They found two polyps, one was cancerous. I was referred to Dr. Thanki, and was told that I had to undergo surgery. The whole thing freaked me out. But I felt much better after my first visit with him and his staff. While I was in pre-op before surgery, he answered all my questions, which gave me a sense of calm going into the operation. My recent TAD surgery with Dr. Thanki was successful from the standpoint of the original symptoms being resolved, but two side effects validate that minor surgery is surgery on someone else. The anesthesia left me with urine retention and being on a catheter for eleven days, and while the internal hemmorrhoids were alieviated, the surgery resulted in subsequent external hemmorrhoids.
