I read reviews before deciding to go here. Only bad reviews I saw were regarding getting a hold of anyone via telephone. I chalked them up to people needed their hand held and decided to make an appointment. The appointment setter was friendly and helpful. I was able to get my initial consultation appointment fairly quickly. Was in and out of office quickly. Doctor Kesl was thorough in his explanation of my options without wasting any time. On September 11, 2019 (not a great day) I was involved in a car accident. I shattered my tibia plateau ( knee ) Bad! We were told that many times. I ended up at NKC Hospital, where I met my surgeon, Dr James Kesl. He explained, to my wife and I the severity of my situation. He said he’d be straightforward with us at all times, as not to give us false hope. Excellent doctor! He would always take time to talk us through any setbacks, concerns, or procedures. He was positive and encouraging even during the bleak periods of my husband healing process. Highly recommend.
In April this year I was in a UTV accident that resulted in five pelvic fractures. From the start Dr James Kesl kept my family informed since they couldn’t be in the hospital with me. He made sure that I knew the risks of surgery and was so kind and understanding of the situation I was in. During my hospital stay the Overland Park regional staff was so nice and caring and made sure I was well taken care of.
