I drove 4 hours to see a dog. I called the entire way. Kept getting answering machine. Walked in and the two women behind the desk were doing nothing. The dog we wanted was on medical hold...why was she showing available on your site. We asked to see a pitbull puppy that we saw on the site...no you cant its now 4 and we are closed. You turned away an adopter because you didnt want to take the time. There were 3 other people in front of us adopting. There was no reason for is to be turned away.

It's pretty disappointing when a nursing Pittie and her pup is reported running through traffic, a county animal control officer tells you to just let it continue doing so. Then when the dog is hit by a car, a SENIOR animal control officer asks what they are supposed to do if the dog is still running around , in traffic, and asks how they are supposed to catch it. Apparently the dog must be DEAD or almost dead in order for it to be of any concern to Kern County Animal Control Officers. At least the CHP Officer was trying wit... read more

I got all my cats here!!!! :"3 very friendly service and animals are very well taken care of! I recommend everyone get their animals from the pound.
