I would not be alive if it weren’t for Dr. Hirose and the good Lord. I was three months in the hospital and given no hope. At that point I went to John’s Hopkins and Dr. Hirose was my doctor. I spent over eight months in the hospital with Chronic Pancreatitis. I didn’t eat or drink during that time. Dr. Hirose did many many surgeries on me. It has been 10 years and I am a miracle to be alive. I am thankful for his knowledge and determination to keep me alive. Grateful for him.
Very caring and understanding surgeon him And his team at Ucsf took great care of me when I had open gi surgery i am very thankful to have had them to take care of me

I met Dr. Hirose for a second opinion initially, but was convinced that he‘s the surgeon that I should go with. He‘s well experienced in his field and showed true concern about my well being after surgery and follow ups. I can only say positive feedback about him and his team at UCSF - great experience during a dark time of fighting cancer!
