Dishonest – I live in Kenwood and try to frequent the neighborhood businesses. Bad idea. The exhaust leak was apparently repaired with a new section of pipe, but after jacking it up and crawling around i can't seem to find anything new. They also mentioned my front brakes needed replacement. I do brakes myself, so I picked up some new pads, only to find my front brakes were at least 50%, closer to 75%. Put as politely as possible; these guys are dishonest and charge you for things they never did and services you don't need.
AVOID at ALL COST – This is the worst place I’ve ever been. The only reason I went there was because they offered a 10% student discount, however, DO not be fooled! I figured they would be able to put on a muffler correctly, but was I wrong. I originally took my car there, and shortly thereafter I noticed a noise but I thought it was my trunk rattling. So 1 year later the muffler broke again and I took it back because they had a warranty. Brought it back $80 later after the free warranty** I noticed the same noise except now... read more
Re- Avoid if possible – I'm sure, you are disappointed that the repairs for your car were crazy expensive, but I know for a fact that Kenwood Muffler and Brake is not responsible for selling your car for a profit, the last time I checked they were a repair shop and not in the business of selling cars.. So if you could please blame the appropriate party it would be much appreciated. Avoid if possible – I had them salvage my car after deciding that the repairs to fix it were ridiculously expense. However, they wouldn?t give me a dime for the car. I later found out that they didn?t salvage the car, but were planning on fixing the car and selling the car for a profit. I highly question the honesty and integrity of this repair shop.
